Performing October 19th "Monroe Elementary Music Program Students"

The Monroe Elementary Music Program, directed by Ted Ehnle and Lisa Minish, provides band and orchestra training for over 300 students in 4th through 8th grade. Students receive two to three classes of instruction per week during the school day in a large ensemble. Advanced 7th and 8th grade students play in a full symphony orchestra. String students begin their early studies with Suzuki violin methodology. The various ensembles have received superior ratings at the City-Wide Elementary Music Festivals throughout the past five years. Many of Monroe's band and orchestra students continue to study their instrument in high school and several each year go on to attend some of Chicago's most selectitve high schools.

  CSAs

(Community Supported Agriculture) offer a box of the farmer's freshest produce or meat every week. The vegetables vary, depending on what the farmer is growing. Eating from the local foodshed brings with it so many benefits, from offering an affordable source of healthy food while reducing the carbon footprint incurred delivering that food to our plates, to supplying a connection for where our food comes from, to creating a true sense of food security. Joining CSAs help farmers thrive, while also giving you the freshest veggies available in a weekly box!

While you are shopping at the market, please ask the Farmer if they provide CSAs
